- Read the converted codes and the contrast results.
- Choose a matching palette and copy the colors or the CSS variables.
Questions
Which color formats can I enter?
HEX with 3, 4, 6 or 8 digits (with or without the #), rgb() and rgba(), hsl() and hsla(), hsb(), plain numbers like 255, 87, 51, and CSS color names like tomato.
What do the contrast ratings mean?
WCAG compares the brightness of two colors. A ratio of 4.5 to 1 passes AA for normal text, 3 to 1 passes AA for large text, and 7 to 1 passes the stricter AAA level.
How are the matching palettes made?
They are built from your color's hue using classic color-wheel rules, such as complementary, analogous and triadic, plus shades, tints and tinted neutrals.
Is my color sent anywhere?
No. Everything is calculated in your browser.
